OADD: Conference 2021

The Ontario Association on Developmental Disabilities – OADD is a professional organization of people working and studying in the field of developmental disabilities, throughout Ontario. OADD’s members include agencies and organizations; university and community college students and instructors; service provider direct care staff and managers; family support workers; case managers; psychologists; social workers; and other dedicated individuals.

The 2021 Conference: Pivoting to address the challenges of service delivery during COVID has been a struggle for everyone in the developmental services sector. We are looking for presentation abstracts that highlight creative ways to address these challenges. If you or your agency has found a new way to address service delivery, staff issues or the constant re-adjusting of deadlines for the “return to normal” please consider sharing your lessons learned with others through our virtual conference event

Streams for 2021 will be:

  • Impact on Services (how do we pivot)
  • Lessons Learned (resilience)
  • Impact on Peoples Mental Health (staff & individuals)
  • How/when to move forward (after COVID?)
  • Creative ideas/strategies/programs
